The Sudeten Philharmonic in Wałbrzych
A philharmonic is a cultural institution specializing in putting on classical music concerts and other events. It is a place where the audience can experience orchestral performances, recitals, symphonic and cameral concerts and much more. A philharmonic is a place were you’re able to experence the beauty of classical music and more.

The inauguration of the Sudeten Philharmonic
The official inauguration of the philharmonic took place on the 24th of November 1978. In the following years, the institution organized many concerts and other events, which cherished not only Polish but also Czech and German traditions. The Sudeten Philharmonic is a unique place, which through its activities exemplifies that through the years Dolny Śląsk was under the influence of three different, but mutually inclusive cultures.
The Sudeten Philharmonic — concerts & other events
The concerts put on by the Sudeten Philharmonic in Wałbrzych aim to educate children and yound adults. We want to ensure that from the start of their education, children had access to wonderful music. The concerts for children are not only organized in Wałbrzych, but also in other towns and villages of Dolny Śląsk. We want to broaden the childrens horizons and help them explore the wonderful world of music.
Meet the Sudeten Philharmonic Symphonic Orchestra
The Sudeten Philharmonic wouldn’t exist without the amazing musicians that are part of our Symphonic Orchestra. At the moment it consists of close to 70 musicians, who perform symphonic, classical and modern compositions.
